The Museum is a Space for Discovery
Proposals for Schools
VINSEUM’s educational activities place the student at the center, as an active person in a learning process that, through problem solving, generates knowledge. The intention is to ensure meaningful learning that connects new knowledge with existing knowledge, restructuring, expanding and assimilating it.
All the activities we propose approach heritage through dialogue and games, and always connect with reality and/or current events, in order to directly challenge children and youths and promote their debate and discussion.
Escola Amiga
This is a project that allows schools and the museum to imagine ways of working as a team, to connect, to join forces and to generate proposals that respond to the needs of both spaces: the school and the museum.
The intention is that schools and institutes activate the resources that the museum can offer them, beyond the activities that are offered on a regular basis.
The annual starting point of the Escola Amiga program is a meeting at the beginning of the school year with representatives of all the schools that are part of the program, where the news of that year is presented and ways in which the museum and one or more schools can interact are imagined.

The UB Julys at the VINSEUM
Since 2008, the VINSEUM has continuously hosted one of the UB Julys courses with a theme always related to the world of wine. Over all these years, thematic courses on wine and wine cultures have been held from very different perspectives and have dealt with technical, artistic and cultural topics, while bringing the best specialists in each field closer to the attending public.
Professionals from the wine and cava sector, wine tourism and museography, professors from various universities such as the University of Alicante, the University of La Rioja, the University Rovira i Virgili or the University of Valladolid, representatives of D.O. from all over Spain and institutions such as INCAVI, IRTA or the Cajal Institute in Madrid have all participated.
And always with the clear intention of visiting, getting to know first-hand and bringing the projects and producers of the Penedès region closer to the students.
