You’ll find us in the historic center of Vilafranca, right in front of the Santa Maria Basilica.
A good way to discover the Penedès and Vilafranca, and visit the VINSEUM is to take a bike ride along the network of trails in the capital of the Penedès.
Additionally, in Plaça Jaume I you will find a parking area where you can park your bicycle while visiting the museum.

The museum is located in the city’s historic center, where most of the streets are pedestrianized. But you can find both free and pay parking facilities nearby
Other ways to visit the Museum
The museum offers guided tours of its permanent exhibition for groups of a minimum of 20 people and a maximum of 25 (plus 1 accompanying person per group).
The languages available for this service are: Catalan, Spanish, English and French.
The price of the guide service is 80 €.
Bookings for the guided tour must be made 15 days in advance.
You will receive confirmation of your booking at the time of payment and you will need to present it at the museum’s reception desk on the day of the tour.
The guided tour lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes.
In exceptional cases, the museum may change the access conditions to the above-mentioned tour.
Starting at 20 people or more, it is considered to be a group.
To visit the museum as a group, you must make a prior reservation.
We recommend booking at least three weeks before the scheduled visit.
Groups should plan on a minimum of 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete the visit to the permanent exhibition.
In order to ensure an optimal experience, groups of more than 25 people will be split up when accessing the galleries with an interval of 15 minutes between each subgroup.
There will be a person who is responsible for each group, and who will be in charge of checking in at the museum’s reception desk.
Groups may use the group lockers at no additional cost. Coats, backpacks, umbrellas, large camera bags and luggage are not allowed in the museum’s galleries.
Pets are not allowed.
Eating and drinking are not allowed except in the designated tavern or tasting areas.
The VINSEUM team reserves the right of admission and is not responsible for the improper use of the facilities.

At the VINSEUM we believe that the museum is a space for students to experience inspirational learning.
Students gain new and transferable skills, knowledge, curiosity and inspiration from our program of activities and events.
The museum also offers activities for groups outside of formal education: adult groups, summer camps, cultural associations, groups of people with disabilities, and more.

Accessibility
The VINSEUM operates with the objective of being an institution open to all people, both from the point of view of physical barriers and access to its collections and temporary exhibitions.
The building is wheelchair accessible and is equipped with an elevator to access each of its floors.
The museum has adapted restrooms on the ground floor and on the first floor.
VINSEUM provides a wheelchair for visitors.
We also have portable stools available.
Service dogs are allowed to enter the museum.
It also has Braille guides for the exhibitions Les Arrels and La Plaça del Vi.
Additionally, you will find 8 multisensory modules within the La mirada tàctil program. These modules are located in the Les Arrels and Les Cultures del Vi de Catalunya exhibitions.
The museum has a magnetic loop service.
The audiovisuals and audio guide narrations for the Les Arrels exhibition, as well as the audiovisuals for La Plaça del Vi, have a sign language version. You can access it through this link.
VINSEUM participates in the Apropa Cultura program for people at risk of social exclusion or with disabilities. Additionally, the museum team is open to all kinds of proposals or adaptations of its activities according to needs.

To access the museum’s free Wi-Fi service, turn on your device and look for the “VINSEUM Free” network.
The museum offers Wi-Fi in the museum’s reception area, the auditorium, the Tavern and the museum’s courtyard.

The Museum’s Tavern is a space open to the public for the promotion and tasting of wines by the glass from all over Catalonia, with special attention to the museum’s Friends of Honor wineries, and accompanied by a menu of non-cooked tapas.
This VINSEUM space is a meeting point for all the Catalan wine territories, an attentive agora open to debate, discussion, promotion and enjoyment of the industry, working to dignify and give even more prestige and added value to Catalan wines.
