How has wine packaging evolved over time? What stories do old bottles, labels, and wrappers tell us? How can we reinterpret this legacy?

This workshop explores the past to design the future of wine packaging. We will start at the “Symposium. Trades that think, wines that speak” exhibition, analyzing the creative solutions of current artisans and designers, and reflecting on the relationship between object, function, and communication. Subsequently, we will make a selective visit to VINSEUM to study significant examples of packaging from the past. In the workshop, we will work on a comprehensive redesign project. Based on the analysis of a historical case, we will develop a new packaging proposal that responds to current needs and sensibilities: sustainability, user experience, brand narrative, and formal innovation. Research, conceptualization, and presentation of creative and well-founded ideas will be encouraged.
